Abdel Rahman EL BACHA is a Franco-Lebanese pianist who has adopted Brussels as his home. Winner of the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition in 1978, at the age of 19, he now gives piano concerts all over the world and teaches at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. El Bacha is a vector. He has ways of being and of speaking that grab people’s attention. A broker of ideas, he wants to use music to build bridges between the East and the West. Oriental music lulled his early days, but Bach, Beethoven, Prokofiev and Chopin have filled his life. El Bacha is an exceptional humanist, teacher, composer and performer.
